So I have been looking inside the Sherlock Holnes Vs Jack The Ripper game files on the PC Version and came across some sound file containers which are in pak format. Could someone kindly help to extract the contents of the said files? Will upload the sound related ones and some texture pak files for comparison for people to see and maybe help in some way. Thanks.

Have you already tried the existent script for this game?
http://aluigi.org/bms/sherlock_holmes_jack_ripper.bms

If it doesn't work upload en.xml too.
Probably it's better if you upload it anyway because some files are compressed and the script doesn't decompress them.

Please use the "Report this post" function when you need to change the section of a topic, otherwise I can't see it :)

I have the GOG Games version and it uses PAK files. Can't seem to find en.xml file on that version and the xbox 360 version uses pakk file format. The file structure seems different when i use the bms script you provided which produces an error because it can't find sounds.xml unless I'm missing something here.

And also the 360 version which file structure differs slightly but is still pakk file format and might be of a higher sample rate, the audio on the next gen versions of games, (360 & ps3) were usually like that and a lot of the time, pc versions were usually compressed. Which was common place back in the year this game came out.

Two seperate links that contain both the entire xbox 360 and pc versions of the games in game files.

Finally some time to check this stuff.
Script 0.2: D
http://aluigi.org/bms/sherlock_holmes_jack_ripper.bms

P.S.: apparently it fails only with one file of game.pakx but I have no way to know for sure if a file is compressed or not.

Thanks! That script worked wonders. I did find a audio music file that was a bit jumpy though once extracted. Don't know if it's just buggy or this script caused a corruption within it. This script seems to work with the xbox 360 version as well. I know there are some pre-rendered video files as well but couldn't find them and the voices folder seemed empty.

Linking extracted materials:

EDIT: This is the music file that doesn't seem to extract well. It's the same on PC/Xbox 360, I checked.
