I managed to extract the game files with
http://aluigi.org/bms/castlevania.bms and now I am not sure how to open the models with rigging, or if that's even possible. The two files of interest are a .msh file, and a .sm3 file. The .msh contains the mesh, the .mtl holds texture data (?), and the .sm3 might the rigging. I am aware of 3d Object Converter, though it doesn't seem to handle rigging.
The files appear to be connect to Castlevania Lords of shadow, and a few ways to extract the models are out there, but the blender script does not work for me and I do not own 3DsMax.
