Good day Luigi, I'm wondering if you think that newer variant of that Milestone format can be added to msmixext.exe or some BMS can be created to work with MIX archives from later games by this company... It'll be great if something like this is possible and some brand-new tools/scripts are made available!

These are samples: 2 small complete ones and 2 pairs of cuts from huge MIXes. I'll really appreciate any help with these!

Best regards!

I don't see anything in common in all the samples you provided like if there is no format at all, no header (correct for mix format) and no footer too (or it may be encrypted but it's still very different in all the files).
movies.mix is just compressed with xcompress, unpack it with http://aluigi.org/bms/xcompress_file.bms
The data in the archives doesn't seem compressed or encrypted at a first look

I'm sorry to hear that it proved to be so difficult, maybe samples from PS3 ver. would help you understand this "format" better and find something common? Unpacking archives from PS3 isn't strictly required though, devs didn't pack most sounds (like BGM, ambience & VO) in SFX.MIX / MUSIC.MIX so that obtaining audio streams is way easier on Sony platform (BTW Milestone started using this scheme in MotoGP 14).
Bye and big thanks for inspecting my example files!

Currently it's not difficult... it's just that there are no information about the stored files :D
If you can upload a couple of MIX from PS3 I will check them for sure but keep your expectations low.

Thanks a lot, your script works on both platforms just fine!
Best regards, Game Ripper.
